Services

From first measurement
to working product.

Every project starts with the application. Geometry, fit, material and production method are considered together to create a practical technical solution.

01

CAD design & engineering

New components, design improvements and multi-part solutions developed around the required function and available space.

From idea, sketch or requirements to production-ready geometry
02

Reverse engineering

Existing, broken or unavailable parts measured and recreated as an adaptable CAD model.

From physical component to a manufacturable redesign
03

Additive manufacturing

Functional prototypes, custom parts and small production runs manufactured in a material suited to the application.

Fit checks, functional use and repeat production

Project types

Common engineering requests.

These are examples of the kinds of projects Swart3D Engineering can support. Each application is reviewed individually before work begins.

01Custom replacement partRecreate a broken or unavailable component.
Problem
The original part is broken or no longer available.
Solution
Measure it and rebuild the geometry in CAD.
Material
Chosen for its use, fit and environment.
Result
A replacement made for the application.
02Functional prototypeTest fit and function before final production.
Problem
A design needs practical validation before committing to steel.
Solution
Produce a physical test version for evaluation.
Material
Selected to suit the purpose of the test.
Result
Useful feedback before final manufacturing.
03Technical bracket / mountCreate an application-specific holder or mounting solution.
Problem
A standard mount does not fit the equipment or location.
Solution
Design around the device, space and mounting points.
Material
Matched to stiffness and environmental needs.
Result
A clean, application-specific mounting solution.
04CAD redesignImprove a component that no longer meets the requirements.
Problem
The existing design does not fit or manufacture well.
Solution
Adapt the CAD model around the new requirements.
Material
Considered together with the production method.
Result
Improved geometry ready for manufacturing.
05Multi-part larger componentBuild beyond the single-part print volume.
Problem
The required part is larger than 256 × 256 × 256 mm.
Solution
Divide it into logical parts with assembly features.
Material
Selected for the application and joining method.
Result
One larger solution assembled from multiple parts.

Application review: Projects are assessed individually. Safety-critical or heavily loaded applications may require additional verification or may not be accepted.

Capabilities

Design and production,
connected.

CAD decisions and manufacturing choices are reviewed together, helping the final component remain practical to produce and use.

How it works

A clear route.
From idea to delivery.

A CAD file is helpful but not required. A drawing, photo, dimensions, sketch or existing component can often provide enough information to begin the discussion.

01

Send your idea

Send a drawing, photo, dimensions, CAD file or description of the required component.

02

Engineering & quotation

We review the application, geometry, manufacturing requirements and material options and provide a quotation.

03

Design & manufacturing

The component is designed, prepared for production and manufactured.

04

Inspection & delivery

The finished component is inspected and prepared for shipping or collection.

Engineering mindset

Built for function.

Every project is reviewed based on its intended use, geometry, material requirements and manufacturing method. The goal is not simply to print a part, but to create a solution that works for its intended application.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know.

Can you design a part if I don't have a CAD file?+

Yes. Depending on the project, photos, measurements, sketches, drawings or an existing component can be enough to start the design process.

Can you manufacture larger parts?+

Yes. Larger designs can often be divided into multiple components and assembled afterwards.

Do you only manufacture one-off parts?+

No. Swart3D Engineering can support prototypes, individual custom parts and small production runs.

Which file formats can I send?+

Customers can send CAD files such as STEP and STL, but drawings, sketches, dimensions and photos can also be used when discussing a project.

Can you help choose the correct material?+

Yes. Material selection can be discussed based on the intended application, required strength, flexibility, temperature resistance and other functional requirements.

Do you ship parts?+

Yes. Shipping can be arranged depending on the destination and the requirements of the project.

Can every technical application be accepted?+

No. Projects are assessed individually. Safety-critical or heavily loaded applications may require additional verification or may not be accepted. Suitability and scope are discussed before work begins.
