CAD design & engineering
New components, design improvements and multi-part solutions developed around the required function and available space.
Custom engineering · CAD design · Additive manufacturing
Swart3D Engineering designs and manufactures custom technical components — from replacement parts and functional prototypes to mounts, assemblies and improved CAD designs.
Not just printing a part.
Engineering a solution that works.Services
Every project starts with the application. Geometry, fit, material and production method are considered together to create a practical technical solution.
New components, design improvements and multi-part solutions developed around the required function and available space.
Existing, broken or unavailable parts measured and recreated as an adaptable CAD model.
Functional prototypes, custom parts and small production runs manufactured in a material suited to the application.

Project types
These are examples of the kinds of projects Swart3D Engineering can support. Each application is reviewed individually before work begins.
Application review: Projects are assessed individually. Safety-critical or heavily loaded applications may require additional verification or may not be accepted.
Capabilities
CAD decisions and manufacturing choices are reviewed together, helping the final component remain practical to produce and use.
Materials
Material selection is matched to the intended use and functional requirements.
Prototypes & fit checks
Versatile functional parts
Technical parts with improved heat resistance
Flexible components
Rigid engineering applications
How it works
A CAD file is helpful but not required. A drawing, photo, dimensions, sketch or existing component can often provide enough information to begin the discussion.
Send a drawing, photo, dimensions, CAD file or description of the required component.
We review the application, geometry, manufacturing requirements and material options and provide a quotation.
The component is designed, prepared for production and manufactured.
The finished component is inspected and prepared for shipping or collection.
Engineering mindset
Every project is reviewed based on its intended use, geometry, material requirements and manufacturing method. The goal is not simply to print a part, but to create a solution that works for its intended application.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Depending on the project, photos, measurements, sketches, drawings or an existing component can be enough to start the design process.
Yes. Larger designs can often be divided into multiple components and assembled afterwards.
No. Swart3D Engineering can support prototypes, individual custom parts and small production runs.
Customers can send CAD files such as STEP and STL, but drawings, sketches, dimensions and photos can also be used when discussing a project.
Yes. Material selection can be discussed based on the intended application, required strength, flexibility, temperature resistance and other functional requirements.
Yes. Shipping can be arranged depending on the destination and the requirements of the project.
No. Projects are assessed individually. Safety-critical or heavily loaded applications may require additional verification or may not be accepted. Suitability and scope are discussed before work begins.
Request a quotation
Send your project details, drawings, CAD files, dimensions or photos. Swart3D Engineering will review the application and discuss feasibility, material selection and manufacturing options.
